A man's struggle to find his voice... And his cheese.

This film offers an up-close look at the world of renowned shoe designer Christian Louboutin and his first foray into the Asian footwear market.

Ever judge someone just by looking at them? Of course, we’ve all made snap judgments about people. But what if we really got to know them? How would our opinions change? And what if we were forced to become them… how would the shoes fit then? Stressed-out high school teacher Trish Fahey can’t understand her students’ lack of effort and why their parents don’t seem to care. This perspective dramatically changes when Trish meets Molly, a mysterious stranger intent on helping her see things differently. When Trish wrecks her car, Molly is there as Trish wakes to find herself living the life of Cindy Kremer, the woman she has personally judged and criticized. Trish discovers that there is often more to the story and learns a powerful lesson that affects everyone she interacts with. Her husband, her daughter, the ex-Marine next door… No one is left unchanged.

A fortyish cancer-stricken, emaciated Frank Crosby and his fifteen-year-old son Clay, who is the healthful, youthful image of his father, are spending an afternoon enjoying the atmosphere of Venice Beach. They enter Oddities, a store where the gypsy woman owner gives them a pair of special wingtip shoes. Later that night in the hospital where Frank lay dying, he shares with Clay his memory of a postcard image: a golf course where people are playing and are leisurely sipping tea. Frank dies and leaves behind a distraught family: Clay, his little sister Maggie, and their mother Janice. Clay wistfully goes to his father's closet and finds the wingtips from earlier in the day. Putting them on, he is transported back in time and becomes his father as a child. He discovers he can travel back and forth in time just by putting on or taking off the shoes. Clay learns a great deal about his father's early years and is eager to learn more.

Three presenters, three continents and three of the poorest countries in the world formed the backdrop for the BBC TV documentary, A Mile In Their Shoes. The programme followed Nick Knowles, Patrick Kielty and Victoria Beckham on extraordinary journeys through Zambia, India and Peru. Their experiences highlighted where the money raised by Sport Relief was being put to work. The presenters joined three children to experience everyday life in three areas the charity is battling to help. Victoria travelled to Peru to meet 11-year-old Dinah - who lives and works on a rubbish tip. Of the 250,000 children working in Peru's capital, Lima, 80% are under the age of 12. In rural areas the situation is no better, with a huge 62% of school-aged children suffering from malnutrition. Victoria met Dinah, who is 11 years old. Dinah's mum died three years ago and she lives and works with her dad on a rubbish tip.

Alex's high opinion of himself isn't backed up by reality as he is unemployed and having trouble with his girlfriend. When he finally gets a job with the local council/municipality of Hudiksvall his life is about to change. Suddenly Alex finds himself the leader of a local theatre group of people with learning difficulties. Through their work together, Alex comes to appreciate that we all have our own talents which can grow if given the opportunity and support. "The Importance of Tying Your Own Shoes" is based on the work of the Glada Hudik Theatre whose performances have met with success in Sweden and internationally since it was formed in 1996.

Varvara and Lena meet in the same shoe department. The girls have the same shoe size, they like the same shoe model, and... the pair in the store is the only one! The shoes beckon like sirens, and a real battle for the luxurious footwear breaks out in the shoe department. “Until the last drop of blood!” and nothing else. The story begins...
